I remember the day vividly. The day our company decided to upgrade our phone system to incorporate a “page” feature. What at first was a novel convenience for our “Donut Guy” to serenade us with a poem about donuts on Friday when he brought them in for all of us, has become a annoying curse that has blighted my ears far too often.. You know? Fundamentally I’m actually a pretty healthy guy… I mean for the most part I don’t get sick very often.. It’s usually a major sickness when I do though…
But I got the “you’re always sick” comment. The other day… Sigh… Really? So I started to do the mental calculations of how often I have been sick within the last year and a half.
It’s not that I get sick often it’s actually that when I do it hits so hard and lingers… Like it just will not go away no matter how much over the counter medication and rest I try to throw at it.. (more…)
OK so most of you have seen the basement… Well the Overhead projector was getting very very tired… Besides the fact that the bulb was turning yellow it had a power issue at times that it would not recognize inputs at power up unless it was off for more than 30 minutes..

This is an open letter to my fellow coworkers. Some of you may not like what I am about to say and if I offend any of my coworkers…. Tough Shit! Get over it! Or more to the point, Grow the fuck up!

So this is now the 3rd year of me using the “Power of Technology” also known ast “PoT” and thus all I have to do is edit a few pages and not worry about feeling guilty about using the printer at work. Some of you that have never experienced this “Rave” may not now some history.. These invitations used to be gargantuan. Some people looked forward to them.. Most however just threw them in the trash..

We actually arrived late in the day on Saturday. I discovered that
Towing your pride and joy for 14 and a half hours is rather stressful.
Towards the end the tongue loosened up on the trailer side. It’s really
fine but to watch the bike moving more than it was in the rearview
mirror was a little disconcerting. I’ll have it fixed before we go home. (more…)
So this past weekend with the rain coming in heavily on Saturday it put a real damper on me doing any work on the trailer. With my daughter’s birthday party on Sunday afternoon I was concerned about time but with a bunch of help on Saturday my wife was nice enough to assure me all I should need to do on Sunday was help carry in groceries and hang the piñata. So order of the day was to set up the bounce house which had my son in his clothes for the first time ever on a weekend before 8 O’clock AM and then get to Lowes, then come back in build the trailer. One of the Perks of getting into a small company when it’s growing and staying with it after it has taken legs and gets absorbed by a large company is that You tend to be well known…..Especially if you are loud mouthed Dork like me…. But again, that has it’s perks. Like when the VP of your division walks up to you and says: ” Hey go see my assistant and tell her you and your wife are going with us to see Star Wars in Concert.” (more…)

The Trailer
So a few weeks ago the wheels were put in motion of whether or not we were going to load up the family and head down to NC for Thanksgiving to visit my In-Laws. To be honest at first I was not really looking forward to driving for 17 hours and getting there and realizing that every dam road I’m on down there is begging for my motorcycle to be ridden on them. At time you’re driving along and suddenly I can picture my below me wrestling this curve to submission… But then Dawn gave me a budget… (more…)
